What is Gel-X?
Gel-X is a soft-gel extension system: a full-cover tip is bonded to your natural nail with gel, then cured, shaped, and finished like a sculpted set. The result is longer, lighter than acrylic, and flexible enough to feel like your own nails, with no monomer smell and no aggressive drilling.

Does Gel-X damage your natural nails?
Not when it’s applied and removed properly. Gel-X bonds to the nail with gel and soaks off with acetone, no ripping, no heavy e-file work on the natural nail. Careful prep and removal are exactly what a one-chair studio has time for.
How long does a Gel-X set last?
Three to four weeks for most hands. Growth becomes visible at the base before the set itself gives up.
Gel-X or acrylic, which should I pick?
Gel-X is lighter, more flexible, and odor-free, which most clients prefer for everyday wear. Acrylic is stiffer and can suit very long, sculpted shapes. Both are on the menu, if you’re unsure, book Gel-X and we’ll talk shape and length in the chair.
How long does the appointment take?
Plan for about two hours for a full set with color; intricate art adds time. You’re never double-booked, the chair is yours.
